Baltimore Firefighter In Building Collapse Makes Stunning Recovery

A Baltimore firefighter has been upgraded to fair condition after he survived the collapse of a burning building that killed three of his colleagues, according to WTOP

Firefighters Lt. Paul Butrim, Firefighter/Paramedic Kelsey Sadler, EMT/Firefighter Kenny Lacayo and John McMaster became trapped while battling the Jan. 24 row house blaze on West Pratt Street.

Butrim, Sadler and Lacayo died, while McMaster was listed in critical condition Monday. As of Tuesday, Jan. 25, his condition had been upgraded to "conscious and alert," according to the Baltimore City Fire Department
